Further connecting the University of Houston’s community, the Fertitta Family College of Medicine serves as a new medical school with the vision of innovating healthcare delivery. Housing classrooms, lecture halls, and specialized suites, the 4-story facility effectively integrates open-spaces with study spaces, elevated by exposed concrete columns and long-span girder design. Collaboration excels around the sunlit atrium and monumental stair while the concrete-framed promenade invites movement between the interior spaces and the future campus. Accompanying the medical school, a 26,000 square feet central utility plant and pedestrian bridge complete the campus infrastructure.
